Meze Restaurant

About us

The flavours of the Mediterranean – made for sharing. At Meze Restaurant we serve dishes inspired by the Mediterranean and the Middle East, in warm and relaxed surroundings.

Our story

Meze opened in Stavanger in 2022 with a simple idea: to take the best of the Mediterranean and make it generous, informal and full of flavour.

We are at Pedersgata 24, in the middle of one of Stavanger's liveliest food streets. Over the past years the street has become a gathering place for kitchens from many parts of the world, and that suits us: meze is about putting several flavours on the same table.

The philosophy is the same today as in 2022: good food, good people and good moments around the table.

There is more about the food on What is meze? and about the neighbourhood on Restaurant in Pedersgata.

What we serve

The kitchen makes cold and warm meze, dishes from the grill, salads and classic specialities.

Hummus, baba ganoush and haydari come to the table alongside falafel, tabouleh and freshly baked pita. From the grill come chicken, köfte and beef, often as a platter to share.

It is all set up so that several dishes can stand on the table at once, and everyone helps themselves to what they want.

With us

Our concept

A modern and social restaurant concept

Inspired by the sharing culture of the Mediterranean.

What defines us

  • Homemade: Sauces, marinades and dips made from scratch.
  • Hospitality: Warm and personal service.
  • Quality: Consistent craft, good ingredients and generous portions.
  • Sharing culture: Food that invites conversation, variety and togetherness around the table.

What kind of experience do we offer?

At Meze it should be easy to gather around the table. The menu is built so that guests can combine cold and warm dishes, grills, vegetables and classic favourites at their own pace.

Whether it is a weeknight dinner, a celebration with friends or a larger party, sharing makes the meal more social: you taste several dishes in one sitting, and the conversation goes around the table instead of down into the plate.

That is why Meze suits couples, families, groups of friends, companies and larger parties alike.
